truebluemeandyou: DIY Meditation or “Calm Down Jar”. Still love this as a last minute project/gift for anyone.
DIY Meditation Jar. Great gift - put a great label on it like, “Keep Calm and Sparkle” or “Keep Calm and Glitter On” for a stressed out person (children or grownups). Saw something almost identical on Tumblr and reblogged it here but wanted to know where it came from. The idea came from Still Life with Circles here for use with children(Lower Right Photo). Her recipe has glycerin (used in all snowglobes) and liquid soap and is more snowglobe-like. Then Here We Are Together here (Left Photo) modified the recipe and added glue - go to the link to see exactly what she added.
DIY Magic Glitter Bottle Tutorial from Artsy Ants here. The only ingredient you may not have is glycerin - but I have it from making snow globes and “meditation glitter jars”. I also didn’t use distilled water in my projects.
It’s Queen Zoé! Check out my first DIY tutorial feature on Etsy, featuring my adorable goddaughter. Learn how to make a simple paper crown just like hers.
DIY Halloween Paper Bag Animal Costumes with Templates from Wee Society here. You could fold up the bag and put it in a knapsack for Halloween parades. First seen at Handmade Charlotte here.
DIY Cardboard Box to Washing Machine from crafty-in-tally at Craftster here. First seen at Dollar Store Crafts here.
DIY Tie On Tutu Tutorial from Grosgrain here. There are lots of tutorials for tie on tutus, but this one was so thorough and the finished tutu is so pretty. This would be so fun for dress up or Halloween. *Tulle can run as low as $1 a yard on sale.
This blog is for my crafting alter ego. I did lots of crafts with my very artistic mother growing up and continue doing them with kids now. I love really good kids' crafts that hold their attention and mine. When you have that combination you have a great project!
